The Hebo riders Toni Bou and Jaime Busto take victory in the first TrialGP of the season
Last weekend the first round of the TrialGP World Championship was held in Arteixo (Spain). The Galician town was the scene of two days of competition where the HEBO riders climbed to the top of the podium.
In Saturday's appointment, Jaime Busto (HEBO-GASGAS) stood out above the rest in the TrialGP of Spain, achieving the third victory of his career. Busto already won on opening day last year and the twenty-six-year-old once again took the lead in this edition with a complete six-point victory ahead of Toni Bou (HEBO - Montesa) on a technical course made up of huge granite boulders. Third position went to Gabriel Marcelli (HEBO - Montesa); therefore, the HEBO pilots completely took the podium.
“It's been an incredible day for me,” Busto said. “I felt very good from the first stage on a route where it was easy to make mistakes. We were very well prepared and the bike and the team worked perfectly”.
On Sunday, Toni Bou did not disappoint and took full advantage of him to take victory ahead of Jaime Busto and Adam Raga on a dry and dusty circuit where the sections were changed compared to Saturday to increase the difficulty.
“I am super happy with the victory and I feel that it is very important for the championship,” said Bou. “I had a great battle with Jaime, he is a great talent and it is incredible to fight with him.”
After this first round in Spain, the HEBO riders Bou and Busto will arrive tied on points for the second round of the World Championship to be held in Portugal next weekend.
