The world of motorcycling is in mourning for the loss of Manolo Morente Calvo, a prominent entrepreneur and key figure in the two-wheeled sector. Linked to the HEBO brand since the early days of the company, Morente leaves an indelible mark on the industry and on those of us who were fortunate enough to know him.
Manolo's career in the world of motorcycles began at the original GASGAS store as a mechanic apprentice. His dedication and passion quickly lead him to lead the business development of historic brands such as REMOTO, Pirelli, Metzeler, and Spica, among others. However, his love for motorcycles always drives him to seek new goals.
Combining his business activities, he gets involved in the creation of professional motorcycle racing teams. In this field, he leaves a significant mark: founder of the SEUR speed team, team manager of the emblematic Team Atlético de Madrid, and discoverer of the renowned rider Álvaro Bautista. And not only that, he is also the driving force behind the Andalucía Scooter Championship, among many other initiatives related to the world of two wheels.
His dedication, passion, and commitment to this sector make him one of the pioneers in professionalizing motorcycle racing teams, setting a standard that has inspired future generations.
Over the years, Manolo has maintained his close relationship with the motorcycle world through his connection with the HEBO brand. In these moments of sadness, we at the company want to pay him a heartfelt tribute, remembering him not only for his professional achievements but also for the wonderful person he was.
