Los pilotos de HEBO, Busto y Bou, lideran el TrialGP de Japón

The HEBO riders, Busto and Bou, lead the Japan TrialGP

Not even the torrential rains on the eve of the Japanese TrialGP could stop the extreme equality that we are experiencing this season between the two HEBO riders, Toni Bou (HEBO - Montesa) and Jaime Busto (HEBO - GasGas). After the appointments in Spain and Portugal, Busto and Bou arrived in Japan to take part in the third round of the World Championship and, as in the previous Grand Prix, the victories were also shared in Japan.

On Saturday, Bou made the difference with a victory against Busto. The Biscayan began dominating the first lap but in the second he made several mistakes that cost him the lead in favor of Bou who did not miss the opportunity. Third place on the podium went to Adam Raga (TRRS).

The second day was much drier and Busto set the tone from the first section. Upon reaching the last two sections of the race, after having added just one more mark to his total in the second round, he suffered a couple of fiascoes that left victory up in the air, but he ended up beating Bou in the tiebreaker after completing the zone in a faster time. Adam Raga would repeat in third position.

After three Grand Prix, Bou and Busto are still tied at 111 points in the general classification. The next appointment, from June 9 to 11 in San Marino.

Jaime Busto: "The TrialGP of Japan has been incredible for me. I have ridden very well on both days. Yesterday I was fighting with Toni all day, but in the end I made some silly mistakes that cost me the race. Today I started with my mind clear, focused from the first stage and I led all day. I had Toni behind me and it was a pity that in the last two sections I had two falls that almost cost me the race, but in the end I got the victory, so I couldn't be happier. I've scored some very good points for the championship and we hope to continue like this for the rest of the season”.

Toni Bou: “It was a difficult day for us with a lot of problems on the first lap. We have had two fives for stopping, made many mistakes and in fact I have come to think that we would have to fight for second position. At the end of the second lap we had the opportunity to fight for the victory and we were tied, but due to time we were second. Jaime was at a high level today and when we fails so much we can't win. In the next race we have to be very focused because the championship is very close, not make mistakes and get our best version”.
